CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Ohio State Buckeyes' Big Ten opener at Michigan State on Sept. 29 will have a 3:30 p.m. kickoff and be televised by ABC.

The Buckeyes (3-0) are ranked 16th in the nation, while MSU's Spartans (2-1) are No. 21. Ohio State hosts University of Alabama-Birmingham (0-2) on Saturday, while Michigan State hosts Eastern Michigan (0-3).

Michigan State won at Ohio State, 10-7, last Oct. 1.

Josh Slagter of mlive.com writes about plans for the Ohio State at Michigan State game:

Michigan State will host Ohio State at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 29. It will be televised by ABC.

The game's time and TV network had yet to be announced.

According to the latest polls, Michigan State-Ohio State is the only matchup of ranked teams that week.

ESPN opted to have "College Gameday" in Knoxville, Tenn., on Saturday to preview Tennessee and Florida, opting against Michigan State-Notre Dame.

There's a chance the show could be coming to East Lansing for the Spartans' matchup against the Buckeyes, though.

Fifth-ranked Georgia hosting the Volunteers appears to be the strongest challenger.
